In late 2005 the Board formed a joint committee with representatives from the Australian Podiatry Association (SA) and the University of South Australia to consider the issue of prescribing rights.
The Committee, which held its first meeting on 31 October 2005, is currently preparing a submission to extend the prescribing rights of registered podiatrists in South Australia and is planning to meet again during February 2006.
The Board will keep the profession advised of progress in this important issue.
